What Happens After You Apply?

1. Submit Your Story- Complete the online application and provide as much information as possible.

2. Application Review- RumBai Family Services reviews applications and determines whether the request meets the program's eligibility guidelines.

3. Verification- When appropriate, RumBai Family Services may request additional information or documentation to verify the emergency.

4. Monthly Selection- One eligible family is selected each month, subject to available program funding.

5. Emergency Assistance- If selected, RumBai Family Services will work with the family to determine the appropriate method of providing assistance. Whenever practical, payments may be made directly to a landlord, utility company, vendor, or other service provider.

6. Follow-Up- RumBai Family Services may also connect the family with additional community resources that can help address the underlying circumstances of the emergency.

Program Guidelines

The Emergency Family Support Program is intended for serious and unexpected financial emergencies. Assistance is subject to available funding and program eligibility requirements.

Generally, assistance may not be used for: -

Vacations or entertainment -

Luxury or nonessential purchases -

Gambling -

Alcohol or tobacco -

Discretionary consumer purchases -

Expenses unrelated to the emergency described in the application -

Ongoing expenses that exceed the scope of the program RumBai Family Services generally limits assistance to one award per household within a 12-month period, although exceptional circumstances may be considered. The standard maximum assistance amount is $1,000 per household, subject to available funding and program guidelines.

Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance.

The information you provide is used to evaluate your application and administer the Emergency Family Support Program. RumBai Family Services will take reasonable steps to protect applicant information. Your permission to publicly share your story is not required to apply for or receive assistance. ---
